Taco feast

This weekend my (jenny's) brother Dan stayed with us. He is a Junior at Virginia Tech studying Accounting. He visits us fairly often, because his girlfriend Katie is a Junior at JMU. We always have a good time when he is here- Dan is quite possibly the funniest person I know. THe last time he was here, we asked him to feed Bruiser for us for dinner. When Andy and I got home in the evening we asked Dan how much he fed Bruiser. He answered, "well, I didn't really know, so I just filled the whole dog bowl up, leveled it off, and then added some more. I figured that was enough." The dog bowl holds 6 1/2 cups of food. Bruiser normally gets 1. Needless to say, I will be sure to leave written instructions next time...

On Sunday, the four of us had a Taco feast for lunch after church. Here are Dan and Katie slaving over our stove. Aren't they cute?

New York Trip!

Two weeks ago, I (Jenny) took a group of 20 JMU girls up to New York City for a Spring Break Mission trip. THe group consisted of girls from three different small groups, four different houses, and all different years in school. We participated in many different ministries around the city. In the coming posts I will try to fill you in on what we did throughout the week. Here are some pictures of our team to get you started!

Picnic

Spring is on the way!! Though it has been cold (and snowy) the past few days, I am faithful that Spring is just around the corner. A week ago we had a few really warm days. On one of these days I loaded Bruiser in the car, picked up lunch from Qudoba, picked up Andy from work, and headed to a nearby park for a nice sunny picnic!

Trying to get Bruiser to jump for a stick

He got it!

And he's off!

Bruiser likes to go for sticks (logs) that are 3x the size of him!

New Bookshelf!

While I was in New York last week, Andy busied himself by building a bookshelf for our living room. I am so proud of him! I am thankful to have a husband who loves to create things like this, and is good at it, too!

Getting ready to paint

Bruiser busied himself with a treat- he kept burying it in one spot, digging it up, burying it again in another spot, until he finally settled down to eat his treat.

That is, until he got tangled up in the lines..

Almost there...

The finished product!
